She can't remember the last time she had to wake up so early. The sky was still dim, and stars still shone down. The moon was pretty much gone now though, and the sky was slowly going from a deep, dark royal to a lighter, deep lavender. She couldn't help but stare at the window for a while before the blaring from her alarm caught her attention. She couldn't remember the last time she woke up before her alarm too. But today WAS a big day. Today was the day she was gonna find out if she could move to the island of her dreams, and start up her own farm.

Getting packed was easy for her. Now getting dressed? That took more time that she thought. She HAD to look perfect after all! What if they didn't take her seriously cause she looked just the TINIEST bit off?? She gently pushed at her face and cheeks, looking herself over. A round face with deep hazel eyes. She liked her eyes, she was always rather proud of them, second only to her hair. She spent quite a while on it as well. Her long, thick viridian locks hanging gracefully down just past her lower back, with two long, thick strands hanging down either side of her face, framing it quite nicely, the color complementing her naturally tan completion. She rather liked her own skin.(Her mother thought her that you should always love yourself, but never be vain) When she was younger, her skin was much fairer and lighter, but all the time working in the sun made it a much deeper shade.

While on top her head, sitting as pretty and as naturally as lilligant's floral crown should, was her TRUE pride and joy. Her blossom took so much time and effort to get to bloom, that looking at it even now makes a tear want to fall.

But enough of that, her hair was fine, now for her outfit. It was a simple, what she would call, 'farm dress'. Green, empire cut, with a white apron. And she always made sure to wear her favorite yellow boots. She silently looked herself over and sighed. She guessed that this would be the best she could do.

She jumped as she heard her father call for her, nearly making her drop her things.

"I'm coming!"

Well, looks like it's now or never.

 February 14th

 Rapture Retreat

Personality:
A normally polite and docile young woman. Naturally calm and even tempered, but easily put on edge and easily made anxious when it seems like things are getting out of hand And maybe it's because of all the younger siblings she had and the fear and worry she had over them as their eldest sister, but if she sees someone smaller or younger than her in troubling situation, she tends to panic and will often do everything in her power to 'fix the situation'. Her nerves get the best of her though, and it's more than often not that big a deal. Aside from how skittish she may seem, when push comes to shove, she'll place herself between danger and a loved one in a heart beat. And she liked to calm others the way she calms herself when her nerves or fear get to her. Music and dancing. It's pretty easy to tell when she's anxious, as she'll start singing softly or humming to herself. Even doing a tiny jig in place!

History:
Her mother and father both came from a land where music, food, farming and ranching was the way to live. Where everyone seemed to know everyone and food wasn't home cooked unless you raised it yourself. Her parents were on the ranching side of this spectrum, and bringing up a family in such a lifestyle brought nothing but luck and joy to their families. So when Ilaria was born, her parents were excited and overjoyed, already looking forward to the day where one day, their little girl will take over. But sadly, these dreams would be short lived.

Once Ilaria was old enough to begin helping around the ranch, her mother and father were way too happy and excited to show her how EVERYTHING worked. How to tend to the livestock. How to brush them, feed them, and even wrangle them if they got out of hand. At fist, it seemed like she would pick it up easily as her parents did. She seemed to love ALL of the living creatures living on the ranch! But....things happen. And sometimes they cause big changes.
It was a thunderstorm. The cattle needed to be brought in. She helped her father while her mother tended to her new baby sister back inside their home. It was all going as easy as it could with skittish cattle that didn't want to be in the rain could make it...Until lighting decided to strike no more than a few several feet away from them. Ilaria still remembered the blinding light, the booming in her ears and the shaking ground. She thought it was just the lighting at first, but it didn't stop. Before she knew it, there was a stampede heading straight toward her, being the only thing standing between the terrified livestock, and their barn.
By the time the stampede ended, her father found her curled up in a tight ball, sobbing her eyes out. Miraculously, not one hoof stepped on nothing more than the hem of her dress, the worst wound on her being a scratched and bruised cheek. Her father was grateful, and even joked about that, such a lucky turn out must be the universe telling her that ranching would be her life. While Illaria took it as the universe telling her to get out while she was still ahead. Her parents couldn't get her to even get near the corral fences without her screaming and crying in fear. Her parents were dishearten, but figured she just needed time.

Years later, and she still doesn't get any closer. She was the big sister to many younger siblings at this point. And she loved each of them. Since she refused to help with the ranch any more, she took up raising her siblings on behalf of her mother, who for a while, was her father's only help. But soon, her little brothers and sisters got bigger. And soon, they were picking up her slack. And in turn, her tendency to panic was born. She loved her baby brothers and sisters, she was like a second mother to them. And watching them work with the very creatures that nearly killed her? Filled her with a sense of panic and dread. Every day she waited for something terrible to happen, and everyday her mother hand to usher her back home and calm her down.
She would do her best to calm herself down too. Making herself clean and cook supper. But what she found out helped the most, was music. And the dancing and swaying she did to it as she cooked and cleaned or whatever small chore she had at hand. She grew to love music so much, she decided to learn to play a few things. Mostly the flute. And she even eventually learned Grass Whistle. All wonderful things that helped calm her easily frazzled nerves. And heck, even helped her take care of her little brothers and sisters. It'd lull them to sleep, calm them down. All things that would make her job easier.

But her siblings didn't stay little forever. Soon, they grew big enough to handle themselves, and she was left...aimless. Confused? She didn't know what to do with herself. She couldn't ranch. The fear in her was still too strong. She liked cooking, sure, but she was no chef, by no means. And she was far from being able to became a professional musician or dancer. No no. What would she do? She thought she'd be stuck on that ranch. Either as dead weight, or a glorified baby sitter. And she didn't want to be that kind of burden. But then, came the day of another little accident. She was cutting up some fruit for her family, an afternoon snack she was sure they'd enjoy, when she accidentally dropped a rather large chuck on the floor. She picked it up with a huff, planning on throwing it away when she noticed the seeds attached to it. She decided to pluck them out and plant them out back. Might as well see what happened, right? And, well, as it turned out, she had one heck of a green finger. Her family ended up with their own growing fruit. Beautiful and vibrant. Her parents couldn't be more proud. And honestly? Ilaria was too. Thats when she decided to give farming a try. But, as much as she loved her family...she couldn't bring herself to take up part of their land for the sake of it. They needed very bit they had for the ranch. So her parents decided, they'd help her find a place, or at the very least, gather up the funds to move there.

After much extra work, selling, and scraping together, Ilaria found a place. A lovely set of islands, that promised a step in the right direction for any shop owner, rancher OR farmer. Now all she could do was hope she can make it there.

She's honestly very graceful

Eclair's: A very bright dog. Fetches things for Ilaria and if very loyal. Although he can be a bit of a 'prima donna' and sometimes choices basking in the sun over listening to his owner

Funfacts:
-
Strong sunlight makes her very sleepy. It's not uncommon to find her passed out in a field on a warm summer day after basking in the sun a little too long.

-She LOVES fruit soda. All kinds and any kinds. Want to be her friend as quickly as possible? Give her a fruit soda.

-She may have a love for soda, but she honestly doesn't have that strong a sweet tooth. She'll eat it if it's offered, but it'll most likely sit in her fridge for a while before she finishes it.
